In July 2007, Eveready was stopped by police along Haskell Avenue while driving his Chrysler sedan without license plates. At the time, Eveready had been on parole for spousal abuse. During a search of his vehicle, officers found four grams of cocaine and $389 on his person. In addition, his vehicle contained a digital scale, a loaded semiautomatic, a handgun, and a collapsible baton on the driver’s seat. He claimed to the police that the weapons were used in his videos as props. Eveready's post-arrest interview revealed that he had slipped into drug-dealing when his porn work was slow. He was indicted the following October.
On May 12, 2008, Eveready pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. A federal jury acquitted him of trafficking cocaine, but convicted him of possession of cocaine on May 23. The case was investigated by both the ATF and the LAPD. On August 26, authorities announced that Eveready had been sentenced to 77 months in federal prison. His scheduled release date is March 1, 2013.
